Before the days of iPhone, the Sony Ericsson C510 was a revolutionary handset, as it was the first to deliver Facebook status updates direct to your home screen. However, wouldn’t it be great if when you saw a Facebook status much more exciting than your own, instead of being envious of it, you could actually experience it?

Using ‘status envy’ as a platform we created a character (Eric) and gave him the most amazing life. Then, via an integrated campaign invited people to become his friend on Facebook. Friends of Eric then received a daily update from him describing his latest adventures. All they had to do then, was answer a simple question about him or the handset, to be entered into a free prize draw to win his status.
